To the constituents of the Rosetown / Elrose districts I bring my knowledge of Global Warming / Climate Change. This is the most important issue facing humanity today, because what we do today sets the bar for the general health of our families and our community. It is essential to have a vibrant, economic sustainable community.
The Green Party directive is that all citizens are able to directly participate in the environmental, economic and political decisions that affect our lives. We must return power and responsibility to individuals, communities and regions.
Our present government seems to be focused on immediate gain for themselves and for the powerful corporations. In fact they are talking about nuclear energy, storing nuclear waste in our province, about corporations taking over our natural resources and about developing our tar sands.
That is not the way to a sustainable future!
I want to help set a path to a green future, moving toward renewable energy, knowing that our water is safe to drink, our air is safe to breath, and that our land is fertile enough to grow the safest food.
