Green Party of Saskatchewan

Elaine Hughes was raised and currently lives on the farm near Archerwill in east central Saskatchewan. While growing up, her family produced most of their own food, sewed their own clothing, cut their own firewood, and created their own entertainment. She has worked in administration in Canada as well as serving several years overseas as a volunteer.

She enjoys good health, is a lifetime environmentalist and enjoys birdwatching, tenting, canoeing, biking, skiing, music, photography, and reading. She is an active member of the Council of Canadians, Food For All Coalition, National Farmers Union, Saskatchewan Non-Nuclear Movement, and supports several other environmental and social justice organizations.

The Green Party of Saskatchewan addresses many of her environmental and social justice concerns as well as the need for electoral reform in order to give democracy back to the people. She looks forward to discussing these and other important issues during the upcoming campaign.
