Margaret-Rose Uvery, Rosthern-Shellbrook, Candidate 2011
Green Party of Saskatchewan Candidate Profile - 2011

Constituency
Rosthern-Shellbrook
Name
Margaret-Rose Uvery
Bio
Born in Saskatoon on the wrong side of all the tracks, Margaret-Rose experienced the systemic violence of the Social Welfare industry until her high school graduation. She spent the next several years serving her country in the RCAF and CF, retiring honourably in 1993. Her Grandmother asked her to return to Prince Albert, SK to become her Primary Caregiver; she changed her future plans and complied with her wishes.
Volunteering has always been important, and she has served in many different capacities, including as a CrimeWatch Patroller and First Responder in her community of Hafford.
A strong Environmentalist, Margaret-Rose has always lived conservatively, cared deeply about her ecological footprint, and believed in open, respectful communication.
Despite having to maintain political neutrality during her Military career, when asked to stand as a Green Party candidate, she was honoured to become involved in Participatory Democracy.
